COVID-19 update

04 January 2021

We are sorry to say that due to the Government's Covid-19 restrictions we must remain closed until further notice. We look forward to re-opening as soon as possible.

Due to the on-going COVID-19 restrictions we must remain closed until further notice. We are hopeful, as everyone is, that things will be back on track in time for spring allowing us to welcome you to the Rose & Crown once again.

Bookings can be made online for stays in March and beyond, incuding our 'Sprink Awakening Break'. You can also send an email to and we will respond within a few days. We will be fully flexible regarding any cancellations as a result of COVID-19 so bookings can be made in confidence. As hospitality re-opens we expect a strong demand so to coin a phrase, please book early to avoid disappointment!

The Rose & Crown is a COVID-SECURE venue and we are working to these key principals in line with official guidelines:

Staff training all of our team have received training prior to returning to work on the special safety measures that we have in place and how to minimise risk. All staff are temperature checked on arrival for their shift.

Extra cleaning - on top of our usual high standards we have implemented an additional layer of cleaning that involves regular sanitisation of touch points throughout the property and in bedrooms there is a programme of sanitisation between guests.

Extra space - we have removed some tables and chairs from our restaurant and bar to have 1m+ spacing and have increased our outdoor seating.

Clean hands - we have sanitiser points throughout the guest areas and staff areas including an automatic unit at the main entrace.

Face coverings - these will be worn by our front house service team in line with current legislation which also states that customers should wear a face covering in public indoor areas when not seated.

Track & Trace- we have a system in place to record contact details of all visitors including the QR code sign for those using the NHS App.

Thank you.
