Just a few miles up the road from Romaldkirk you can book onto a star-gazing event at the Grassholme Observatory. This magical attraction under the big dark skies of upper Teesdale is for star gazers of all ages and a great way to combine a stay at the Rose & Crown with learning more about the wonders of the universe.

You can book an Early supper before the 15 minute drive up to the Observatory where a number of sessions are held every week, typically from 8pm.
