Drink

This is a proper dale's bar.... stone flagged floors, old wooden beams, rural knick-knacks and a big open fireplace. You'll feel instantly at home.

A place for locals and residents to mingle whilst enjoying good food and drink with dogs under the table watching on hopefully! We serve local real ales, an extensive selection of over 50 great wines from around the world, gins (including local), whiskies (over 15 malts from Islay) and more. Tea, coffee and scones (whilst the daily bake lasts) also served.

On draught;

  • Black Sheep Best Bitter
  • Wainwrights Golden Ale
  • A guest local real ale (summer season only)
  • Birra Moretti lager
  • Estrella lager
  • Guiness stout
  • Orchard Pig Cider

Open daily from 11am.

Plenty of outdoor seating available as well.

FAQs

Can I just pop in for a pint?

Of course, although during busy food service times you may not find a free table to sit at, we do however have bar stools available for drinkers and outdoor seating.

What time does the bar close?

Last orders are at 10.30pm and the bar closes at 11pm but may close earlier on quiet nights.

Is the pub wheelchair accessible?

The main entrance, bar and restaurant entrances are all wide enough for wheelchairs. Please be aware though that as the building is very old getting a wheelchair into the toilets is not really possible. For this reason we cannot say that the property is wheelchair accessible.
